In a lot of ways my exploration of dance photography began three years ago with this person. It feels appropriate to conclude my recent study with her again. Mallory is a professional dancer that travels all over the world performing. Her credentials are endless, and they are only surpassed by her kindness and generosity. Based out of New York, she carved out a good portion of her Christmas vacation to spend time being photographed by me back home at Kenyon. I grew up with Mallory; as I knew her in high school, she was shy and unassuming. What she’s grown into is nothing short of incredible. She’s an explosive and expressive dancer. And, someone I am very proud to call a friend. I can’t take a lot of credit for these images. As you can see, all she really needs is a location to turn it into her own stage.
