hang on friends, this is a big post.
we’re so excited to share with you all the lovely candice & chris. two people that are so in love you can feel it when you’re near them. for real. π
we had such a great time with not only them, but their awesome friends and family who traveled from coast to coast, and really from all over the globe to help celebrate their big day. they were married at a grand old church and had their reception in the old dayton courthouse (which in and of itself is breathtaking). the tables were filled with great details of all the traveling these two have done and there was even a painter present to paint the night as it was happening (which, by the way…this was the first time we’ve seen anything like this and it was AMAZING!). it was one of those days where it just felt like we were hanging out with old friends…those days are the best.
candice & chris…we wish you guys all the love and happiness, now & always. thanks for being so RAD and so in love.

love this moment between candice and her mom.
this is the fantastic schubbe family. chris is on the far left, his mom in the middle and his dad giving him the old “you got this son” wink. a pretty cool twist on a family portrait, eh?
candice and chris planned for a good amount of time for portraits after the ceremony…we found good light and some pretty rockin’ spots.
we posted this on FB but it’s too fun not to share here as well!
π
candice, you’re stunning.
here are just a few of the amazing details from the reception. all of the teacups, books, bottles, stamps, postcards are all things that were either borrowed from family members or were picked up on their travels. fun. and it makes it so much more personal!
below is the painting of the evening i mentioned. how COOL?! make sure you check out the artists’ work…her name is heidi swartz and she paints events live as they happen. i *wish* we would’ve know about her for our wedding. at the end of the night you have a completely custom piece of art from such a special day. it was pretty cool to see her start with a blank canvas and to end up with this. i hope we see more of heidi at more of our weddings!
there was also a great team of vendors that candice & chris used…a big thanks you you all!
