betsy & tom…and baby to be!

i’m sure you all remember these two.

here’s a refresher.

we met up with them for two fun reasons:

1. they celebrated their two year anniversary! we photographed them next to the tulip tree they planted during their wedding ceremony. (*fun, right?!)

*AND*

2. they’re going to have a baby! they brought along some fun props to announce to their family & friends that they’re expecting a baby in may!

these two are going to be AMAZING parents…and we *kinda* can’t wait to meet the tiny babe. πŸ™‚

YAY betsy and tom!! you guys are so much fun.

leslie & rocky. the wedding.

we’re happy to introduce to you all the new mr. & mrs. lane!

leslie and rocky had a BEAUTIFUL fall wedding in ohio that was accented by great pops of color, happy families and amazing friends.

now, we’ve had a lot of “happy” brides this season, and really, what bride isn’t happy on her day…but i’m going to share with you that leslie wins the prize for most excited and happiest bride we’ve ever photographed! both robbie and i were able to spend some time with her right before the ceremony just chatting and talking about old times (robbie and leslie went to H.S. together; it was fun to hear a few of their stories!). even though this was my first time meeting leslie, i felt like we’ve been friends for years. i like people like that. πŸ™‚

their ceremony was outdoors, and was the perfect pairing of funny & sweet moments.

we also snuck in a bit of time to take some portraits in the ever changing lovely fall scenery & colors that ohio is known for.

we DO love a good fall wedding.

leslie and rocky…congrats again you guys…thanks for being so cool. and awesome. and fun.

lots of love.

hope & isaac.

there is a ton of cuteness in this post…consider yourself warned.

these two tiny people are some of my most favorite.

they are wise beyond their short years, and two of the happiest kids i’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting.

it’s pretty cool when i dream up sessions like these and have them come to life and even better than i imagined it.

i adore these two and can’t wait to watch them grow even more fun than they already are.

can i get a big “YAY!” to that?! that’s right, say it loud and proud. πŸ™‚

dear hopey & ikey, thanks for being such COOL CUSTOMERS.

lots of love to your awesome parents too.

Dolly - What adorable kids! You did a great job openField!!

evelyn, meggie & bernardo.

it’s always such a trip for us to see families grow.

we first met this sweet girl when she was just a tiny, and amazingly beautiful baby. she’s now just as beautiful, running around, and chatting up a storm (mostly about “the little mermaid”).

i’d also like to add that these images are some of my most favorite family images i’ve ever taken. i just posted an image on instagram last night of a dog, her name is rosie. i wrote underneath the image that, “this is how WE do family sessions” her eyes are closed, and her tongue is out. some people might look at that and think, “oh, that’s an edit, get rid of it, you can’t see her eyes, it’s not cropped correct, blah, blah.” to robbie and i, it’s the most perfect example of how WE photograph a family.

families are messy haired kids, shirts un-tucked, shoes untied. families are doggies with their eyes closed, and tongues out. families are gritty in the best way possible and that is how WE photograph families. i think sometimes parents can get caught up with wanting things to be “perfect” (by the way, what the HECK does that even mean?!). they have a vision, and i’ll be the very first one to admit, having a vision is a great thing! it’s just that sometimes, the images that make you smile the most aren’t the ones you envisioned.

this session, to robbie and i, is every single one of those things.

and in the greatest way possible it makes us so exceptionally proud.

meggie & bernardo, you guys ROCK. and sweet evelyn, thanks for keeping us on our toes.

Dolly - Beautiful family!! Brown-eyed little girls are the sweetest! They grow-up to be beautiful people!

maggie & adam. the wedding.

happy tuesday!

robbie and i are SUPER excited to share with you guys the amazing & incredible wedding of maggie & adam!

these two are fun, genuine and overall just good for the soul kind of people and we were so happy to be a part of their day πŸ™‚

also, the level of style at their wedding was a bit off the charts…YAY! the bouquet had succulents, the bridesmaid dresses were the loveliest shade of lavender, her dress was beautiful, the guys wore suspenders, i could go on and on.

they also opted for a first look (which you know we love).

maggie and adam…thanks so much for falling in love and getting married and letting us be there to capture it all. we ADORE you both and wish you all the love & happiness.

big hugs you guys.
