find us on pinterest!

i just googled “what is pinterest?” and the first response states it as “…a virtual pinboard. pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web.”

for both robbie and i, pinterest has been a tool that we use to keep track of the things that inspire us; the things that make us laugh or touch our hearts. it’s a piece of the giant inter-web that is ours to keep all of the ideas that move us to create. we’ve held off creating a board of just openField. images until now. we thought it was time to start pinning. and so, here it is. without further ado…our “virtual” corkboard of openField photography.

make sure to add us to your list, we’ll be sharing more beautiful things from now on.

hi, my name is lauren. when i’m not photographing weddings, i photograph concerts.

the statement above is a true story.

it’s really turned out to be a dream to be involved with music and photography.

and since landing the cover to THIS album, the spark only continues to get bigger.

i had the opportunity to photograph keane a few weekends ago in columbus, ohio at the newport music hall.

these guys put on an AMAZING show.

here are a couple of my favorite images from the first few songs.

if you haven’t already, you should FOR SURE check out their albums on iTunes, you won’t be disappointed.

Dawn - Lauren, these are AMAZING! You are so darn talented! =)

amanda & james. the wedding.

we had the great pleasure of starting our 2013 season off with a BANG.

we traveled up to toledo and spent the day (what felt like just hanging out with old friends, i mean, it didn’t feel like we were working at all…and holy crap, that’s FUN!)

amanda & james were married on a mild, but windy winter day. we spent the morning at the salon, had a wonderful lunch at a tiny restaurant that was stuck in an earlier time (but they made a WICKED grilled cheese sandwich) followed by a ceremony in one of the most beautiful churches we’ve ever seen. amanda & james also picked out amazing places for portraits, we started at the toledo museum of art and finished up in old town perrysburg.

amanda & james (and their wonderful friends & families) THANK YOU for letting us be a part of something so special and FUN! a & j, we wish you guys nothing but love and happiness (and lots of babies!). BIG GIANT HUGS.

the donald family.

i’m (l.) pretty sure that there isn’t anything about this session that doesn’t make me:

a. smile.

b. want a family just like this one day.

we headed over to their house on a cold and gray saturday afternoon, but you’d never know how chilly it was outside because there was so much happiness and warmth radiating from the inside. ๐Ÿ™‚

we ran around and just hung out…and it was lovely.

they recently added a little tiny addition to the family and since robbie and i have a direct line to santa, as soon as we were finished up with things, we made sure to let him know that these two are both EXCELLENT older siblings. how fun to have aย  new little brother and a christmas tree at the same time!

cheers to fun families.
